Man United Defeats Chelsea as Maguire scores winner

Manchester United came out on top  on Monday's night mammoth Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire scored either side of half-time as Manchester United claimed a 2-0 triumph over Chelsea on Monday to give Man utd their first ever double double PL vicrory over their London Rivals this season.


It was a scintillating contest between two Of England's Giant a game which was filled  with VAR taking the spotlight from Chelsea, who could gave won or Drew level with United.


The match wasn't really mouth watering like most would have expect, for me it was a game of luck and luck were on United's side as they managed to score two past Chelsea  with their only 2 attack.

The win for United will bring down the pressure on Ole Solkjaer   whose job isn't 100% guaranteed at the moment as he is yet to meet up with the expectations of the club after spending big in the transfer.

The game started with Chelsea having more possession than United who struggled to  execute their game plan at first but the deadlock was broken in the dying stage of the first half when Anthony Martial struck home Aaron wan Bissakka's cross into the net to get the lead for United  with a brilliant header. Chelsea hit back with a goal of their own but Kurt Zouma saw his goal disallowed for a foul on Brandon William when play resumed in the second half. Shortly after, Harry Maguire rose highest to head in a classical center back goal from a Bruno Fernandez corner kick

Another Chelsea goal was ruled out by VAR for offside after Olivier Giroud had headed in what was thought to be a life line for Chelsea. Both teams hit the woodwork during the cause of the second half while Odion Ighalo a late substitute forced a good save from Cabellero in the closing stages. Manchester united have by the victory beaten Chelsea thrice this season- twice in the league and once in a cup fixture.
